Life is difficult. So many struggle and suffer in this world.
But God hears and understands our suffering, and meets us where we are. God never abandons us, but walks by our side, revealing God’s love for us through little miracles that happen daily, if we will pay attention.
Whether you carry a heavy burden; feel rejected for being yourself, just as God made you; or if you’ve been wounded by the harsh judgment of others, we invite you to discover your new home, safe within the unconditional love and grace of Christ Jesus at Luther Memorial.
We welcome and embrace everyone equally, as a Reconciling in Christ congregation. We support all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, because we understand that God created each of us as beautiful and worthy of love, without exception, judgment, or blame. We believe that God’s Living Word of grace, Jesus Christ, forgives all and loves all. And at Luther Memorial, ‘all’ means all.
Luther Memorial’s buildings are closed for now; but we are the Church, the Body of Christ, and we’re still active, loving God and neighbor through service to the world. We support many New River Valley non-profit agencies to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, advocate for the forgotten and restore human dignity.
I invite you to experience the presence of Christ in our faith community: join us for Sunday online worship, monthly Drive-In Worship, or call in for “Dial-a-Sermon.” I’m here to accompany you in your faith journey, through confidential Pastoral Counseling or Spiritual Direction by Zoom or by phone. Be a part of our Wednesday “Happy Hour” check-ins & Vespers, or participate in several weekly Bible studies.

We are a student-led organization that meets weekly for dinner, Bible study, and worship. We serve God in all that we do AND we enjoy discussing tough questions that come up living on a college campus.
